Account and identity information
We may collect your email address, login identifier, and authentication metadata needed to operate your account.
Health and tracking information
We collect the migraine records you choose to create, including symptoms, pain severity, pain zones, medications, notes, survey responses, and timestamps.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
MigraineZero requests microphone access to allow hands-free voice logging of migraine attacks. We utilize Apple's on-device speech recognition framework. Your raw audio is processed directly on your device and is not stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties. Only the transcribed text is saved to your personal log.
Optional AI autofill information
If you enable AI autofill and provide consent, transcript text may be sent to a cloud AI provider to extract structured fields such as symptoms, severity, medications, timing, and pain zones. Audio files are not sent to the AI provider for this feature.
Apple Health (HealthKit) Data
MigraineZero integrates with Apple Health (HealthKit) to read data such as sleep, resting heart rate, and hydration to provide contextual insights for migraine tracking. We do not use or disclose HealthKit data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or other use-based data mining purposes. Health data is strictly used to provide the app's core tracking and correlation functionality.
Location Data
MigraineZero may request one-time location access when you log an attack solely to retrieve local, historical weather data (such as barometric pressure) relevant to your migraine. We do not continuously track your location, and your exact coordinates are discarded immediately after the weather lookup is complete. Location data is never sold or shared with advertisers.
